I disagree with a star rating for a property, how do I complain?
A tenant may complain about any perceived discrepancy between the audit result and the actual score. This complaint should be made to the HullSTARS Administrator at Hull University Union. Upon receipt of the complaint the Administrator will acknowledge it, and investigate the claims made to give a response to the complainant within ten working days.
The Administrator will make the landlord/managing agent aware of the complaint and may seek clarification from the landlord or tenants about the specific nature of the claims and in extreme circumstances a visit to the property to investigate any concerns that have been made may be arranged. Following the investigation, the complaint will either be upheld or dismissed. There is no appeal process for complaints from tenants.
Any complaints from tenants that do not relate to the audit of the property will be passed on to the Advice Centre at HUU.
