How will I know if someone has left feedback on my property?

Provided the property is registered, you will receive a notification by e-mail.

I've received a notification, why?

You will receive a notification when a a student review or photograph of your registered property has been published. You may also receive a notification if one of your documents or your audit is due to expire.

My tenants have left a review but its not displayed, why?

All HullSTARS reviews are verified before being published on our website. It may be that your tenant is yet to click the link in their confirmation email. If the tenant hasn't confirmed their student status, no reviews will be published. Students can re-send the email by resetting their password on HullSTARS.

It may also be that one of our members of staff hasn't yet had the opportunity to moderate and publish the review.

I have concerns that non-tenants will give poor feedback on my property.
Our system links directly with the data held by the University of Hull, only students who have their address registered as your property with the University can give feedback on it.

How do you check whether the review is from a student?

All reviewers are matched to our student database and will only be published once students have confirmed their student status by clicking the link in their confirmation email. Emails will only be sent to University of Hull student email accounts.
