How do I update my property description?

To update your property description just log into your HullSTARS account then click on 'account' in the top right. Find the property you want to update and click 'edit'. Your property page template will appear and you can enter a property description where prompted. When you're done, just click save.

Can I include pricing details in my description?

No. HullSTARS is primarily used for informational purposes, not for advertising. You can include a URL link to your advertising on StuRents or on your own website which will show pricing, but not on your property page.

No. HullSTARS is primarily used for informational purposes, not for advertising and promotions. You can include a URL link to your advertising on StuRents or on your own website, but not on your property page.

Why has my property description been amended?
Property descriptions are subject to our moderation rules. It may be that you've included information that isn't permitted, please call the HullSTARS Office to discuss.

How do I update my main photograph?

Simply log into your HullSTARS account then click on 'account' in the top right. Find the property you want to update and click 'edit'. Your property page template will appear and you can choose a file to upload under 'Main Photo'.

How do I add additional photographs?

To add additional photographs, find your property page (see above) and click the teal circle (+add) and select the photographs you'd like to upload.

Can I upload multiple photographs at once?

Yes. Once you've followed the direction above, the page will give you the option to select multiple files. All you need to do is choose the files, add their descriptions and click 'save'.

Can I put my contact details on my property page?

Yes. Just log into you account, click 'edit' on the property you'd like to add your contact details to, and input them into the contact details section. When you're done, click 'save'.

I don't want my contact details to be visible on my property page, how do I remove them?

If you've inputted your details, complete the steps above, delete your details and click 'save'.

I can't find my property when I'm not logged in, why?

If you've recently updated your property page, either the photographs or descriptions, this will put your property into moderation pending verification from a member of HullSTARS staff. Most properties are re-published within 24 hours, sometimes longer over the weekends or periods of office closure. To see our opening hours click here.

My property shows as ungraded, why?

If you've not paid for your subscription or your most recent audit has expired, your property will show as ungraded. If you've paid your fees and your property shows as ungraded, please contact the HullSTARS Office so that this can be changed to 'pending'.

My documents are visible on my property page, why?

Your documents are only visible to you and to HullSTARS Office staff. Documents will show on your property page while you're logged in, but will not display to students or other landlords.

Where can I find my property code for StuRents?
To access your property code, you just need to log in to your HullSTARS account and click 'account' in the top right of the page. The property code is listed to the right of each of your registered properties. Just remember, the code will only work for properties that have a current subscription with HullSTARS.
