StuRents offer a free advertising portal that is rapidly picking up steam in Hull. Both Hull University Union and the University of Hull promote StuRents to our members as the best place to go when looking for accommodation. Anyone can advertise with StuRents, but HullSTARS rated properties benefit from additional scoring to help their adverts appear higher on searches, simply add your property code.
StuRents is absolutely free, although they do offer packages to further boost your adverts.
Unfortunately we don't manage your adverts for you, however should you need a hand setting your account up, you can give HullSTARS delegate access to help you with this. For landlords who wish to have HullSTARS assist with their accounts, please be mindful that HullSTARS is impartial, and will only include information as instructed.
No. The University of Hull has a strict policy that permits any accommodation provider from coming onto campus at any time, unless with prior authority. Advertising on campus is strictly prohibited, the only exception being at the annual Housing Fair which needs to be pre-paid and confirmed with HullSTARS in advance.
You can advertise as soon as you'd like. HullSTARS promotes the #HUUNoPressure campaign, whereby we will discourage students from signing up before they are ready. Aggressive marketing tactics will not be tolerated at any point. We ask that all HullSTARS landlords commit to the same values, ensuring that none of their tenants sign under duress or without sufficient time to make an informed decision.
Of course! As HullSTARS doesn't offer advertising, we expect that landlords will advertise on StuRents and other websites if necessary.
To access your property code, you just need to log in to your HullSTARS account and click 'account' in the top right of the page. The property code is listed to the right of each of your registered properties. Just remember, the code will only work for properties that have a current subscription with HullSTARS.
